Rods... Remove the reels from all of your rods and check over each rod carefully, making sure that everything is in good working order. Check the guides for cracks or wear marks. The new super braids will eat through the tips rather quickly. Check the length of the rod for cracks or splits, and unwinding wrap. If the wrap is beginning to unravel, it can be stopped with clear nail polish. Look carefully at the connection point where the rod breaks down to make sure the fit is tight. If it isn't, slip a little piece of cloth over the male end and carefully fit the peices together. If this doesn't work, get out the hot melt glue, and you now have a one piece rod. |
