Motor Water Pump...
The water pump is a very important part of your motor. If you haven't changed it in a few years, it's probably time to do so. The pump itself is made of plastic, and if not properly maintained, will burn out. When it goes, it goes -- and quickly. The pump impeller spins inside its housing, constantly being hit by sand and debris. The fins wear off and then cannot pump the right amount of water. Once it can't pump enough water, it will burn itself out in a hurry. If this happens, the engine will overheat. If this is not caught in time, the engine will burn out, and you'll be stuck. Plain and simple! The pros change their water pumps every year, whether it needs it or not. They cost about $30.00 and are fairly straight forward to install, with a few basic tools.
