Quick Quip...

Sometimes Smaller IS Better: Often you hear anglers using that old saying that "You have to use big baits to catch big fish". Well, that is not always correct - and particularly in the spring. At this time of year, much of the forage for most of the bigger predators is the recently hatched fry - even of their own species. Therefore, you may well find that your smaller crankbaits will be those that produce BIG fish!

What's New...

Not only are the new TFN Fishing Travel Directory and Free Email NewsFlash subscription systems in full operation, but we've also now re-opened the TFN Tournament Listings Page in the Resource Center. We have completely scrapped the old systems and replaced them with new, interactive databases. That's three of five or six overhauls and new, interactive projects we have underway... Stay tuned for the new ones!

This Issue...

Seasons are opening - Spring's here! Volume 3, Number 13, we continue providing you with tips and tricks to get you off on the right foot. And The Way Of The Walleye Contest is back underway, so get your stories in!

Comment...

A funny thing happened - I was writing my editorial and then it struck me - "This is better off as an 'On Top Of The Issues' article!", said I to myself. So that's where you'll find it this time around.

Until next issue...
(tight lines, get it wet, good fishin', see you on the water, etc., etc.).
