I am new to this forum so a big HELLO to everyone. I am a fishing guide on Galveston Bay Texas. I will attempt to post 2-3 reports a month. Hopefully I can give some insite on what's going on down here. Anyway to the report: Well this week has been real simple: Good weather excellent fishing - near limits and limits of trout; Bad weather (high winds) tough fishing. We have been able to catch some fish with the high winds, but we really have to grind it out. Sometimes when the winds are high and the water is dirty or both you just have to bite the bullet and go catch fish. Trout and redfish are always are #1 goal, but mother nature sometimes has other plans. We are still using shrimp under a popping cork near the shorelines and when possible soft plastics have worked under birds on an incoming tide. Hopefully the bay will have a chance to clear up so we can get out to the mid bay reefs and catch some of those hungry trout. When the wind has been right the Causeway bridge up to Tx. City has been productive. I look for East Bay to turn on real soon. Until next time, See you on the water.
