Eliminating Unproductive Water

Our major concern now is to eliminate water without fish in it. We do this by fishing a number of possible areas in various ways as quickly and thoroughly as possible until we catch fish somewhere. Our electronics can be very useful in helping us to identify water in which there is no fish.

Boat Control

Once we have chosen our spot we have to choose the best method to work it. our choices might be to troll, anchor, or drift. A controlled drift uses either a gasoline or electric motor to counteract the influence of wind or current. Precise boat control is extremely important to any fishing situation. Knowing where the fish are doesn't matter much if you can't maintain your own position in relation to them.
