Reservoirs

All over the world we have dammed rivers and created large bodies of water. Often the original species of the river may not do well in the new environment. We may then choose to create our own fish community by stocking exotic species. Although the aging process takes place in these waters, it is secondary to the huge influence exerted by humans. These impoundments or reservoirs often combine characteristics of lakes and rivers, as well as adding new ones, which influence fish behavior.
