Quick Quip...

Eat Healthy - Eat Fish!: Scientists believe that eating a half-pound of fish each acts as a possible means of preventing heart disease. Therefore, it follows that in order to live longer, we abslutely MUST fish more often - for the sake of our health. Now, I wonder what the spouse would think if I...

What's New...

Last issue I mentioned that there would be an announcement about TFN's involvement with Trophy Bass™ 2, so here it is. Last winter, due to the popularity of the game, and the request of many TFN users, The Fishing Network put together a full tournament series for 1998, complete with prizes. It was our intention to provide a wanted service for our visitors.

However and due to the extreme competitive nature of many participants, the attempts at cheating, and the arrogant manner displyed by many of the players, The Fishing Network has decided that its involvement with this type of program runs against the fun, informative and community-oriented principles that form the foundation of, and philosophy behind what we're trying to accomplish.

Therefore, the Tournament Series has been cancelled and the TFN 'Room' at WON is available for anyone to use for fun and enjoyment. TFN will continue to support TB2 and those players who wish to play the game for entertainment and chat purposes. In order for players to communicate with each other, offer hints, or schedule 'pick-up' games from time to time, TFN will also continue to maintain the Trophy Bass 2 Forum.

Once in a while, TFN may still run individual events, but under more stringent control.

We regret having to make this announcement, and thank all those who participated in, and helped run the tournaments. In particular, we'd like to thank Bill and Cassie Wooldridge (the Gemps), who spent a great deal of time in organizing and coordinating the events as our Tournament directors.

Hey, I guess everyone knows all there is to know about Walleye and Bass fishing! - (^; - or so it would seem from the number of entries we've had for the CD Rom contests. Git 'yer stories in folks - 'ya can't win if 'ya don't play!
