What is The Fishing Network and Where is it Going?Posted by sbinnie in thefishingnetworkcom, the fishing network, tfn |
Ever since the dawn of the 'Net-Age', anglers have been trolling from website to website, looking for information about their favourite pastime. Many have stopped along the way to cast a fishing report or equipment review.
Others have jigged Newsgroups to find answers to their questions, and some have even hooked and landed that one piece of killer tackle they absolutely must have to catch the fish-of-a-lifetime, perhaps on a fly-in trip from a lodge they found.
Hours and hours, if not days have been spent by rod and reel enthusiasts, often producing limited results, to find the information they want.
The Fishing Network endeavours to change this scenario. TFN will work hard to become the most comprehensive and authoritative electronic monthly magazine, resource site and forum for anglers of all types from around the globe.
We will publish articles from some of the world's best known and respected anglers, on topics as varied as is the sport, itself.
We will provide you with reference materials, such as biological and habitual gamefish information, fishing regulations, tournament listings, past issue TFN archives, and, of course, downloadable multimedia files.
You will find forums on your favourite angling subjects; from bass fishing to fly-tying to travel.
The Electronic Sportsman's Show will offer you, in time, almost anything you might want to fill your tackle box.
And the most amazing aspect of TFN is that it will cost you nothing.
So have a look around and remember to subscribe. Only subscribers can win contests, receive an automatic discount from the Sportsman's Show and have a brief monthly update e-mailed to them.
There may be some growing pains, but we'll do our best to give you what you want. If we're not offering you the information you want, let us know. Then again, we'd love to hear any comments you have on our information, interface, or if you just want to drop an email to say hi.
Enjoy your visit, and I hope you'll come back often.
