Quick Quip...
Subtle Spinners for Spooky Springtime 'Eyes: Springtime walleye are known to be extremely fickle when presented with anything obtrusive. The normal spinners you might use in the summer and fall will often spook your quarry rather than entice it. A good idea is to scale down the size of blades you use as attractants, and instead of using flashy metal, try using duller chartreuse or orange blades.
What's New...
Max is Back! - Due to unforeseen circumstances, Luc had to leave his position as Forums Administrator. Due to even more unforeseen circumstances, the reasons for Max leaving in the first place no longer existed, so, as a famous baseball manager once said (yip - another Yogi-ism) "it's deja-vu all over again"!

This issue, although a bit small, is at least on time! (^; It's truly amazing how the lure of the first vacation in 2 years can get the fires burning! (Well, ok, a vacation with a little fishing (work) thrown in - it a rough life but someone has to live it! In the mean time, I have an able assistant who will be checking in on the site every couple of days and clearing the system to keep it going. So I'm crossing my fingers - please bear with the system if it seems slow or 'temporarily out of commission' for short periods of time. Volume 3, Number 11 is a little smaller than normal, but 'tis the season - the ice is going out, and the spawn is coming on, so there is not as much happening at this time of year (at least in Northern North America). We hope to have some material soon from other parts of the world to provide a more even and global perspective.

If any of you are around Loreto in Baja, Mexico, next week(Apr 2 - 8), I'll see you there. Now I have to go pack...
Until next issue...
(tight lines, get it wet, good fishin', see you on the water, etc., etc.).
