TFN Reciprocal Link Exchange

We have just launched a new section to the site - Fishing Links.

The key to this system is that it is an exchange. That is, in order for your link to appear here, our link must exist on your site. (Hey, it's only fair!)

Once you have become a registered user of TFN, simply go to the Fishing Links page and click on "Add and Exchange Links" at the top of the page to get the code for our link, and register your fishing-related website on our system.

TFN Available to the Visually Impaired

I'm pleased to announce that a new program has been added to TFN to enable visually impaired visitors "hear" the site. This new technology from vozme.com is still in its infancy, but the early results are promising.

The service is not yet available across the whole site, but it has been installed for all of the articles.

Although it takes a bit of time to get used to the voice and diction provided by the program, after a couple of seconds the article is fairly easy t [...]

Welcome to the re-release of TFN - The Fishing Network!

We've completely re-designed TFN from the bottom up, included the previously most active parts of the site, and added many new social networking features to re-emphasize the word "Network" in The Fishing Network.

In the past, we had many problems with spammers and other web miscreants, and so have also implemented a registration systemto help protect everyone from those idiots whose sole purpose in life seems t [...]

Well, TFN has reached its first half year, and I thought I'd take a moment to let you know how we've done against what we expected, and what's in the cards for the future.

Last October, when the first issue was released, we had about 900 people come and take a look. Since we only thought about 500 would be the limit, we were quite surprised. Ever since the dawn of the 'Net-Age', anglers have been trolling from website to website, looking for information about their favourite pastime. Many have stopped along the way to cast a fishing report or equipment review.

Others have jigged Newsgroups to find answers to their questions, and some have even hooked and landed that one piece of killer tackle they absolutely must have to catch the fish-of-a-lifetime, perhaps on a fly-in trip from a lodge they found.
